Hello! I'm Heather
In 9th grade, I took my first business class and joined DECA. Not only was I hooked, but I discovered marketing and never looked back.
Then off I went to college, where I was the rare student who declared a major and never flinched. I had lived and breathed marketing by this point.
Coming out of college, I took a small detour to the world of sales that not only solidified my marketing career path but also gave me the unique opportunity to experience sales, which has been influential in my career.
I spent the first 8 years of my career progressing in marketing roles that helped me build an amazing foundation of knowledge. I also found my way into B2B SaaS startups.
Then, in 2021, I was laid off as a Director of Marketing for a tech startup after roughly 60 days. Everything happens for a reason, right?
I had the unique opportunity to spend time reflecting on my career and figure out what I really wanted to do next. And looking back, it all makes sense now.
After 2 short months, I was hired into a Marketing Operations role. By day 3 (seriously), it became a Revenue Operations role as I started working with the sales and marketing teams.
Needless to say, Revenue Operations found me!
In addition to doing RevOps full-time, I am also a freelancer/consultant and work with companies on HubSpot and RevOps needs.
I guess I had an entrepreneurial spirit in me after all!
